Unmotivated

Since I have been pregnant I have vowed and promised to work-out. Well the bad news is I have zero motivation. You would think gaining tons of weight and it being better for my baby would be enough motivation but it is not, sadly. I have zero desire or energy to do anything! I did purchase a Denise Austin pregnancy workout video that I have done a whopping 2 times! HA! I have gone on several walks outside but since this winter was so cold those walks diminished to none! I always try real hard to get up in the mornings early to do my DVD but I somehow always hit snooze and before I know it I look at the clock and it is 6:00 and I have to get in the shower. So someone please tell me why getting the motivation to exercise is so hard?!?! If anyone knows please share the secret with me because I am dying over here. I really do not want to gain anymore weight so that is why I need to get started on my workout. I have somehow managed to already gain the max weight I wanted to gain the whole 9 months! I thought I have been doing pretty good considering but to my surprise that's a big NO! So I am hoping and praying that I will do like my sister did and start losing weight towards the end! That way it will all balance itself out ya know. Pretty high hopes since majority of everything about me is nothing like my sister! But we can always keep our fingers crossed can't we? So if anyone would like to say a prayer for me to find the motivation to be a good mommy and get this baby some exercise I would really appreciate it!

Until next time......

Cheesy Meatloaf Minis

I have never been a big fan of meatloaf and neither has Justin. We both have memories of meatloaf being a big hard meat brick that is gross! So after I started looking at my favorite meal finder website I saw a picture of this recipe and decided it looked good and convinced Justin of letting me cook it for us one night. It turned out delicious and we will definitely be making this again for dinner. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did and maybe this recipe will change your image of meatloaf like it did for us!

What a great weekend...

The beloved weekend has come and gone once again but hey that is OK. It was a great weekend for the Rolling family and we will definitely be looking forward to this weekend. My parents came into town on Thursday to keep the Moran clan for the weekend while my sister and Jeff went off to the beach. We are very jealous of them because the beach is exactly what I need right now and it does not look like the beach will be happening for me until after miss priss is born and all of that feels so far away. So it is very hard for me to picture the day I will get to return. Anyways, off that little subject and back on to our weekend. Like I said my parents were here so it made me very happy to see them. Justin played in a little golf tournament at the country club on Friday so once I got off work I headed out to my sister's to visit with the fam. Friday night Justin and I enjoyed some take out and then relaxed in bed watching the movie Unstoppable. It was really good. I definitely recommend watching it. Saturday morning was filled with appointments for me. So after all of my appointments were done and getting some other things done I headed off to lunch with Haley Robbins Cupp. We have been friends for as long as I can remember and luckily we both live in Birmingham. She is pregnant as well so we have been so happy to have each other to talk about pregnant stuff together. I am so happy Mary-Ross will have a friend so close in age to play with. They do not know what they are having yet but I can not wait to find out. After lunch my mom and I took Ashlyn Kay to Cameron Samford's 2nd birthday party. Cameron is the little girl Kristen used to nanny for. AK and Camy are always so happy to see each other. They played almost everyday together for so long. Camy's birthday party was at the new Gymboree play gym, conveniently located right  in the shopping center in front of our neighborhood. I was so excited to go into to it because I have been wanting to check it out. They offer a lot of classes for newborns to toddlers and I can not wait to sign Mary-Ross up for the mommy and me infant class. So happy it is right by our house too. It was very nice and perfect for toddlers to run and play in. AK had a blast and after the party we went back to our house and ate dinner all together. Unfortunately, I had to do all of my grocery shopping and such on Sunday which I hate because it is so busy but fortunately I got everything done plus everything done around the house in time for Justin, Murphy, and me to enjoy an afternoon walk. This weather has made me so happy! I sure hope it does not go away.

The only thing that got done in the nursery this week was the chandelier. The electrician that our builder friend sent to hang it said it took him about 3 hours. WHOA! So we are very happy that a professional did it instead of Justin and me trying to figure it out ourselves. The glider is supposed to be here this weekend, so hopefully we will be able to pick it up.

We are really looking forward to this weekend because we are going to Troy. I have not been to Troy since before I found out I was pregnant. I have not seen our Troy friends since Justin's birthday so I have been really missing them. We are all going to cook out Saturday night and I can not wait to spend time with our dear friends. It is long overdue!

I have a new recipe to share with you all and so be looking out for it! Have a great week!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! I hope you have someone special to spend this day with and if not at least a friend or family member. I am so thankful that Justin and I have each other and that we get to spend this special day together. We are going out to dinner tonight at Fleming's and we are both so excited. I am especially pumped about the Chocolate Molten Lava Cake they have! Yum Yum!

Another weekend has come and gone so quickly but we got so much done around our house this weekend and a lot of relaxation so that was really nice. We cleaned out and put away all the clutter and made more space for miss priss! I just know how much stuff you need and you get when you have a baby so I know we will need all the extra space we can get. I spent all Sunday morning re-arranging and cleaning out the cabinets so little one will have space for all her baby stuff. Justin attempted to hang the chandelier this weekend but was unsuccessful. It ended up being a lot more complicated than we thought and so he went to Home Depot to get the things we needed in order to hang it properly and once he got there he spoke with a knowledgeable person about it and realized that maybe he was not the person for the job. So he called his company's builder/ friend and luckily he is a sweet man and is sending out one of his electrician's to properly install the chandelier for use. We do not want to take any chances on it falling or the wires catching fire. Our most precious little baby will be in that room so it must be perfect! :) So once the chandelier is hung I'll post a picture. I painted the mirror and got the ribbon to hang the mirror with. Now I just have to find something cute to nail into the wall to hang the mirror from. I did find some knobs for the dresser and changed those out and they look great! So those are the only updates on the nursery.

Yesterday I went and picked a part of Justin's Valentine's gift and gave it to him early. It was a heart shaped cookie cake for my Valentine. He was so happy. It might have been the happiest I have ever seen him. Haha. I enjoyed the beautiful day in my maternity swimsuit in the backyard trying to get some sun on my pasty white skin. Sadly, it was not for very long because I had to go pick up the cookie cake and by the time I got back my tanning area had been covered up by the shadow from the fence! I am going to take advantage of all sunny days in the next few months because I have to get a little color back into my skin. YUCK!

This week my parents are coming into town and so I am looking forward to spending time with them. My sister and Jeff are going to the beach for the weekend with friends so they are coming over to keep the kiddos. I am taking AK to one of her friends birthday parties on Saturday right by my house, so that will be fun.

I just wanted everyone to be thinking about Justin as he prepares the take the CPA exam. He began taking it back when he first graduated from grad school and passed a section but after he moved from Georgia to Birmingham he stopped studying and ended up losing the one he had taken. So his New Year's resolution was to start studying for it again and sign up to start taking it again. I have been so proud of him because he has been studying so much. He stays late at work every night studying and has been studying for hours on the weekends. His goal is to take and pass all the parts by the end of the summer. He is about to sit for his first part so please pray he passes it the first time. The CPA exam is one of the hardest exams that you can take after college. It ranks right up there with the Bar Exam and all the other hard ones. So this is something that is really respected in the business world. Justin is very smart and I know he can get this done.

These are all the updates for now but check back soon for more Rolling family news! Oh and I have 2 new recipes I am using this week so check back for them!

24 weeks and counting!

Yesterday I had my 4 week check-up and I had to do my gestational diabetes test. I had to get up and eat breakfast extra early because I could not have anything to eat or drink after 6:30 a.m. . So by the I got called back and had to drink the horrible sugar mixture I was about to thirst to death. My choice of hydration definitely was not that awful syrup but that is all they offered me! BOO! After that we went and saw the doctor and she said everything looked great. My stomach was measuring 25 weeks, which I will be Saturday. She said that is normal and that, that just means she probably is the exact weight and size that she should be right now. So that made me feel great! According to What to Expect.com she should be 9 inches long, and should weigh around 1.7 lbs. . They say to compare the baby to an Eggplant. Hehe. I got some not so great news to me about my weight gain so that was the only downer from the appointment. I guess my Doctor is used to everyone of her preggo patients asking about how much weight they have gained because when I asked her she got a big smile and started to giggle. I am sure she gets the same response from everyone as well because she laughed after I yelled WHAT, OMG! So needless to say Denise Austin and me will have a date everyday at 5:30 a.m. from here on out, no more excuses! Now, if we could just get rid of this cold weather I could enjoy a nice walk outside as well! But, until it is warm enough for me to go outside I will just stick to my indoor routine.

So I return back to the Doctor in 4 weeks, March 10th. We are very excited about this appointment because we get to have our 4D ultrasound done. YAY! We will finally get to see an up close look at little girl. Hopefully she will be active at the appointment. This appointment will also be my last at going every 4 weeks. I will then start going every 2 weeks. So that is just getting me one step closer to the end. YIPPIE! So hopefully these next 4 weeks will go by quickly for us!

Until next time.....

Goodbye January....Hello February!

As another month has come and gone we welcome another month. I am gladly welcoming every month with open arms because it just brings us closer to meeting Miss Mary-Ross.

I had a great birthday, thanks to all my friends and family for making it so special! My hubby was extra good to me because he surprised me with diamond earrings! I was so happy and I will have to say they look GREAT! It ended up working out that I was off work for my birthday so I decided to use a Christmas present Justin had given me, which was a gift card to the spa at Ross Bridge! I treated myself to a prenatal massage and pedicure. They were amazing! Unfortunately I caught a cold the day before my birthday so I tried very hard not to feel miserable on my birthday. Thanks to a weird episode with sudafed the night before I did not get much sleep so I was a walking zombie on my actual birthday so I was thankful I did not have to go to work because after all my pampering I went straight home and laid on the couch until time to start getting ready for dinner that night. We meet the Crutcher's at a place called Bellini's we had heard was very good. We all enjoyed our meals and we really enjoyed our dessert. They have some of the best bread pudding I have ever tasted! YUMMMMYYY! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water! Our weekend continued on and the Rolling's came up Saturday and painted our nursery. YAY! It turned out amazing, everything I had pictured! Justin hung the lamp for me and we got all the furniture we have so far moved to it's place. We put the bedding on the crib as well. It all looks great! Saturday night we ate with my whole family at Cheesecake factory and it was great! My mom & sis got me my favorite cake from IZ Too, Carrotcake! They have some of the best carrot cake ever! It was funny because a couple waiting for a table saw we had brought our own cake to Cheesecake Factory and I overheard them saying, "Why would you bring your own cake to Cheesecake Factory? They are known for there CHEESECAKE!" So my sis piped up and said well that might be the case but it is my sister's birthday and she is pregnant and this particular cake is her absolute favorite! They quickly tried to cover up that they were talking us and tried to be nice. Hahaha. But, overall it was a great weekend with everyone!

Last weekend my sister, Lynlee and I went to look for a bookcase for the nursery and we found one at this place called Antiques & Interiors and I love it. Lynlee had already gone and looked around for me and so she knew all the good places to go. She loves to re-do furniture and so she is going to make it look good! Luckily we found one that had 3 drawers at the bottom of it so I will have extra storage. We found a great antique mirror to hang above the dresser/changing table and 3 small vintage prints that are going to look perfect. Lynlee also found a guy on Etsy to make me a very large aluminum "M" to hang over the crib. So now we are still waiting on the chair to come in and still need to buy a few more things to hang on the wall. So ready to have it completed. I just know the time will slowly creep up on us and so we are trying to get everything done as soon as possible so it will be one less thing to worry about.

Justin and I were making a list of everything that needs to be done around the house before little girl gets here. We just know if we do not complete everything now that it may never get done! So completing that list is our top priority this weekend and next.

I uploaded pictures of Mary-Ross's nursery on facebook if you have not already seen the pictures, check them out. I will be updating the album as we make more progress! Have a great week and weekend!

Until next time.......
